Karen：John, how was your job interview going?
John：Well, I think I screwed it up.
Karen：Why? I thought you would be doing great because we had so many practices before.
John：I thought so too until they asked me about why I wanted to enter their company.
Karen：And? Something strange happened?
John：Yeah, I don't know why but all of a sudden, nothing came to my mind. I couldn't
　　　 remember a word or a sentence that we practiced before. I was speechless.
Karen：And then? How did you react?
John：I just said … because I like to eat potatoes.
Karen：Ha ha ha, there you go. But what's their response?
John：They just laughed, and that's why I felt so depressed. I felt like an idiot.
Karen：That's not true. I think your answer is quite creative. I guess it was probably the first
　　　 time they heard the answer. Trust me, you will be fine.
John：I really hope so.

約翰：唉，我想我搞砸了。
凱倫：為什麼呢？我以為你會表現的不錯呢，因為我們之前已經練習過這麼多次了。
約翰：我也一直這樣以為，直到他們問我為什麼想要進入他們公司。
凱倫：然後哩？有發生奇怪的事情嗎？
約翰：真的。我不知道為什麼，但是突然之間，我腦袋突然一片空白。我完全記不起來我們
　　　 練習過的一字一句。我無言了。
凱倫：然後呢？你怎麼反應呢？
約翰：我只好說…因為我喜歡吃馬鈴薯。
凱倫：哈哈哈，真有你的。但是他們的反應如何呢？
約翰：他們就是大笑啊，所以我才會覺得很沮喪。我覺得自己像個笨蛋。
凱倫：不會的。我覺得你的回答滿有創意的。我猜這大概是他們第一次聽到這種回答吧。
　　　相信我，你會成功的。
約翰：我真的希望如此。
